ECE Regulations

At present Home Grown Kids is operating under the 1998 Early Childhood Home-Based Care Regulations, which you can find Here.

We are currently in the process of undergoing a review to be licensed under the 2008 regulations, which are much more friendlier to Home-Based Services, a copy of which you can find Here.

While we are still bound by the earlier regulations, we are in the process of changing our policies so that they all comply with the new regulations (We have to do this before we can apply to come under the new regulations). All members of Home Grown Kids, all Families, Educators and Nannies can have a password and access to the members area where all of our policies and procedures are kept and where you can be a part of our review process. Home Grown Kids has had several Education Review Office reports since we started in 1997. They are available for you to look at Here. ( prior to 2007, HGK was known as NZ Nanny Support Service)

Staff Qualifications

All HGK Teaching Staff are fully qualified and registered. Each Staff members qualifications are on their profile page.

Information Held by HGK

We are required by law to keep all your enrolment information and timesheets etc for a period of 7 years. If at any stage you wish to see this information you are welcome to contact us and request a copy.
