Kia ora! My name is Rachelle Dempsey and I am one of two coordinators in the Wellington area.

My interest in Early Childhood Education began over 16 years ago while working as a nanny in Wellington. I left the job after 2 years with the aim of studying to become an Early Childhood teacher.

In 1997 I grduated with a Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching from the Wellington College of Education. That same year I completed my Bachelor of Education from Victoria University.

As well as my nannying experince I have taught in both Early Childhood Centres and Kindergartens. I also spent 3 years teaching ages 3 to 16 in Japan.
My most recent experince is as the mother of two fantastic wee girls aged 6 and 1. We enjoy music and dancing together as well as exploring the beach and playing in the parks in our area. When I have spare time I especially like to read, sew and garden.

I look forward to meeting and working with the Wellington children, educators and families.
