Lynette Birkin

Hello. my name is Lynette, I am the Coordinator for the Central Auckland area. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I hold a Diploma of Teaching Early Childhood Education and have full teachers registration and 25 years experience in Early Childhood education.

My most recent position was as head teacher/manager of a preschool where I managed 8 staff and 80 children aged 20 months to 5 years. I held this position for 8 years. Previous to this I worked in a daycare centre, ran a community crèche and was employed as a nanny for many years in various positions within the Auckland region caring for children from birth to school age.

I am really enjoying working back in the homebased sector of Early Childhood Education and look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience in working alongside and supporting nannies and home based educators as they work with families in providing quality care and education for the children in their care.
