Jo Cottingham

Hi, I'm Jo, the Coordinator for the Waikato area.

I have been involved in Early Childhood for 15 years.

I began my career as a Home based educator. During this time I acquired a New Zealand Certificate in Family Day Care: Caregivers through The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand.

Once my children were at school I continued my studies doing the Diploma of Early Childhood through The New Zealand Childcare Associatin (NZCA). I am fully registered and still have a desire to learn. Last year I did a Certificate in Adult teaching with Wintec.

I thoroughly enjoy working with children as I find they are honest, constantly making amazing discoveries and they have a natural ability to be creative.

I believe it is our job to encourage, role model, extend their passions and keep them safe.

I value getting to know the children, families and their nanny/educator, to share our knowledge and ideas, and working together to provide the best possible opportunities and learning experiences for each child.
