Melt Golden Syryp and milk and leave to cool. Cream butter and sugar. Mix baking soda and golden syryp mixture together until this froths. Add to butter and sugar. Mix well. Add enough flour to mix to a dough, and roll into balls on a greased tray. Cook in a slow oven (about 150C) for about half an hour. The slower and longer you cook these, the more they spread and chewier they are! Microwave Puff-Painting Encourage your children to be creative with this recipe, which makes a fabulous paint that 'puffs up' when cooked in the microwave.
Mix the ingredients together using enough water to make a smooth paste. Make 3- 4 different colours and maybe use some empty yoghurt containers to put the paste into. Paint on to thick paper or cardboard, then pop in the microwave on high for about 10 seconds or until the paint is dry. The paint will puff up and look fantastic. |
